Hmmm...?

Something not really mage related I read these past few days:

Mage t10 and more!

I haven't felt there is much to update about lately, but I thought I would make an Icecrown post!

Read and listened to new soundfiles today (you can look at them here- warning, spoilers!), very very intrigued! As you may not know, I am a huge lore nerd. I certainly don't know everything, but I love reading the books and immersing myself in it. I find that lore really enhances the game, and you may not know until you've read a book and then replayed an encounter which involves characters from said books.
Here, an example from my own experience: My guild was raiding Hyjal. It was just a raid, with a bunch of horribly tedious AE waves stuff and a chick, and then I read Cycle of Hatred. After that, the raid and Jaina were more than just a pile of pixels to me, they became something more interesting.
Anyways, on to the goodies! =D
Look at this delicious Mage T10. It is delicious.
I'm going to have to say that my favourite scheme are the top and the bottom colours. Fantastic! I'm really loving the wrestling-style belts they started putting in during ToC, and the helm is pretty BA.
Now, I won't begin to even touch the mage changes yet (next post maybe? =o). It would seem that they are attempting to make all three specs somewhat equally viable for raiding. I'm sure though that there will always be a superior spec (or two, with dual spec for certain encounters).
Mage T10 set bonuses:

Mage
  • 2 Pieces: Your Hot Streak, Missile Barrage, and Brain Freeze talents also grant you 12% haste for 5 seconds when the effect of the talent is consumed.
  • 4 Pieces: Your Mirror Image ability also causes you to deal 18% additional damage for 30 seconds.

The 2 piece set bonus is great. 12% is a fair amount of haste. What I am interested in is if there in an internal CD on the 2 piece haste proc, or if (depending on your HS, MBarr, or BF procs of course) it would be a very steady amount of (almost) straight haste.
I like the 4 piece also, 30s is a great duration, and 18% more damage is always nice. Basically it means 18% more damage every 2.5 minutes if you're in an encounter where you're able to pop it every time the CD is up.

In other news, want.

RISE FROM THE DEAD, SHEEP ON MOON

Greetings.
I really don't have an excuse this time for not updating my blog, because i've been playing WoW.
/shrug

BREWFEST SUNDAY YUP, ALMOST THERE.

In other news, joined Elysian Conclave and started raiding with them a few days ago, ending my raiding dry spell.

Sooooooo

If you're wondering why I haven't updated in a while, the answer is simply: "I haven't been playing WoW."

Going back for a week or so in 6 days for Midsummer Fire Festival though (and then again for Brewfest!)

But after that I think I'm done. At least for now ;-p

Epic Lewtz

Got a nice surprise from my fishing daily today. :D
Thats right, a Worthless Piece of Orange Glass.
Damn.

Player receives developer item in mail, proceeds to WTF PWN Ulduar

Referring to the article on WowInsider today, seen here.
Seems like a player named Karatechop on Vek'nilash received Martin Fury (only found on WoWDB, wowhead and other datamining sites have deleted it, maybe to blizzard's request?) in the mail by a dev (DERP).
Karatechop then proceeded to kick the endgame in the family jewels and do the following:
Heroic: You Don't Have An Eternity & Heroic: A Poke In The Eye (done same kill)
Heroic: Orbit-uary & Heroic: Shutout (also on same day)
Heroic: Twilight Duo & Heroic: The Twilight Zone

Now either thats one 1337 guild OR, Karatechop was cheating (which he was). See his largest recorded hit of 353,892,967 damage (The health on Flame Leviathan on its hardest mode).

WowInsider says:
A member of The Marvel Family posted on his blog about this event, stating that the entire guild has received bans over this even if they weren't present at any of Karatechop's miracle raids.

DEEEYUM.
GG Karatechop, Blizz really HI-YA'd you.

ps. 34 mana? That shirt is so pimp.

Children's Week

So, Children's Week isn't here yet, but I was surprised to hear that it started next week, with a day overlapping Noblegarden.
I suspect completing For The Children will be much more stressful than Noblegardener. I'm worrying most about Daily Chores, which, given the bugs Blizzard had with A Simple Re-Quest could bug up (reset the time) and screw people over. After that I guess School of Hard Knocks will be hardest.
We'll see how it goes.
Also got my Tome of Polymorph: Rabbit today, so I don't even have to touch Noblegarden anymore.

Noblegarden Clear

Completed Noblegarden today, but I look forward to going back once the camping has slowed down in a few days and collecting more eggs for the vanity items (Specifically Tome of Polymorph: Rabbit & Spring Circlet)

For now i'll be back to continue doing my Argent Tournament dailies. Working on Darnassus now as well as collecting Champion's Seals.

Noblegarden QQ

Noblegarden started last night, and to tell the truth, I wasn't surprised that people are already QQing.
But to QQ about the RNG an hour in? Why?
And honestly, people can't camp the eggs at all hours of the day.
AND if worse comes to worse and you have HORRIBLE luck, you only need to collect 2 eggs every hour over the course of 7 days.
Not hard.
Not something to QQ over.

Baaaah

Well hello there world of blog.

Today I put myself on leave for a few weeks in my raiding guild, because Ulduar and raiding for prolonged periods of time lately have really been taking a toll on me.
That doesn't mean I won't be playing casually!
Still doing the argent tournament and starting Noblegarden when it starts tomorrow, excited to see how it turns out.
